Organizational changes in the FOERSTER Group

FOERSTER. We are growing. Grow with us.

Today we would like to inform you that Magnetische Pruefanlagen GmbH - a member of the FOERSTER Group also located in Reutlingen - will merge with Institut Dr. Foerster GmbH & Co. KG as of January 1st, 2021 in order to use the synergies of currently partially redundant areas.

Investing in the future!

This way FOERSTER can offer all customers new, cross-divisional product solutions and forward-thinking technologies even better. This restructuring secures the jobs at our Reutlingen headquarters long term and is therefore an investment into the future.

Thank you for going the extra mile

In the course of this organizational change, we would like to announce that Mr. Thomas Himmler will forfeit his position as Managing Director of the division DM by the end of the year to assume the position of consultant on the expansion of the new Business Unit Detection & Security for the entire FOERSTER Group starting at the beginning of next year. In 2022 he will then retreat into his well-deserved retirement. We would like to thank him in advance for his excellent work in the past years and wish him all the best for his new adventure. His successor will be Mr. Christoph Schanz, who has been successfully managing Magnetische Pruefanlagen GmbH since 2019. He will oversee the business units CT, MT, DS and IN. We wish him the very best in his new position.

"He who is alive must love change and transition.”

What does the new structure look like?

In the future Institut Dr. Foerster GmbH & Co. KG will comprise five business units:

Test Systems - TS

TS develops and produces technical systems for automated non-destructive testing of metallic long products and heavy plates.

Component Testing - CT

CT develops test equipment and fully automated, complete systems for non-destructive quality control of metallic components in the, among others, automotive and automotive supply industries. In addition, the measuring instruments for determining magnetic parameters (KOERZIMAT) will be integrated into this business unit in the future.

Mobile Testing - MT

MT's currently growing product portfolio includes portable devices for manual and semi-automatic non-destructive testing of safety-relevant components.

Detection & Security - DS

DS is responsible for the development and production of metal detectors for geophysical prospection as well as contaminated site investigation and innovative devices for detecting explosives.

Inspection - IN

IN offers worldwide non-destructive material testing services for the chemical industry – with main focus on reformer tube testing.

Purchasing will now be bundled in one central, cross-divisional location. Service will also be consolidated to ensure uniform and comprehensive 24/7 support across all product areas.
