Eddy Current Theory Level II 

Take your Eddy Current Testing (ECT) expertise to the next level with FOERSTER’s Level II training course, designed for those who have completed Level I or have equivalent foundational knowledge. This advanced program deepens your understanding of electromagnetic testing concepts and emphasizes real-world application through hands-on lab work and expert instruction.

The curriculum exceeds the ASNT SNT-TC-1A-2024 recommended practice and prepares participants to handle more complex inspection scenarios confidently.

What You'll Learn

This course builds on Level I principles and focuses on advanced ECT topics including:

• Refined electromagnetic theory and test variables
• Coil impedance and signal-to-noise ratio analysis
• Test frequency selection and coupling techniques
• Field strength and electromagnetic field effects
• Instrument design and inspection system outputs
• Hands-on labs: flaw detection, conductivity testing, and calibration practices
